The modern thriller directed by Peter Berg and starring Jennifer Garner and Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx has been constantly plagued by mishaps over the past weekend. First, on Friday, the barely returned from her maternity leave Jennifer passed out due to exhaustion and over-heating and was rushed to the hospital.
After the incident, blown over proportion in the press, a truly tragic accident took place on the Arizona set, which many media outlets seemed to have overlooked. The assistant propmaster, Nick Papac (25), crashed the golf-cart vehicle he was driving into the director's SUV and sustained serious head injury.
Fortunately, the set was closed for the public so no other persons were hurt. But Papac, after being taken via plane to the nearest hospital, died only a few hours later due to serious brain damage. The director suffered only a few insignificant injuries and didn't need medical assistance, some say.
Nevertheless, shooting for 'The Kingdom' was postponed until Wednesday. 'It is with profound sadness that we confirm Nick's passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time', Peter Berg said during a meeting of the movie crew, after the fatal accident.
