Lawyers of actor and comedian Tracy Morgan are addressing the injuries he sustained on the accident that took place on the New Jersey Turnpike in June. Yesterday it was revealed that Walmart was trying to deny any guilt in the case, claiming that the Morgan would not have suffered the injuries that put his life in danger had he buckled up.

Benedict Morelli, Morgan's lawyer is firing back saying that the actor has an uncertain future in terms of his career, since the brain damage he suffered in the accident has left him unable to perform. Previously, it was revealed that Morgan suffered a broken foot, some broken ribs and a broken nose in the crash, but now we learn that he's also suffered brain damage.

Morgan's brain damage might prevent him from performing ever again

When the media asked his lawyer whether Morgan would ever perform again, the laywer responded according to Page Six, “The jury's still out. The doctors don't know the answer. I don't know the answer.” It turns out that Tracy is undergoing daily speech, cognitive, vocational and physical therapies to overcome the injuries he sustained.

The lawsuit filed against Walmart in July claimed that the company was to be blamed for the accident. Tracy was injured when a Walmart semi crashed into his limo back in June, killing comedian James McNair and injuring four other people in the car.

The investigation later revealed that the driver of the truck failed to notice the limo in time because he hadn't slept the night before, and since he was working for Walmart, the lawsuit now aims to get the retail giant to pay damages.

Morgan's camp can't believe Walmart is blaming him for the accident

After Walmart's position of trying to pin the blame for the crash on Tracy, the actor came out with a statement, “I can't believe Walmart is blaming me for an accident that they caused. My friends and I were doing nothing wrong. want to thank my fans for sticking with me during this difficult time. I love you all. I'm fighting hard every day to get back.”

Walmart's official position was that Morgan's injuries “were caused, in whole or in part, by plaintiffs' failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device.” In other words, he would have been fine, had he been wearing his seat belt.

The retail giant came under fire from the public and the media for this position in the case, because soon after the accident took place, they promised that they were going to take full responsibility for the crash, but now it seems that they are trying to get out of paying damages to the parties involved.

The company already has a bad image State-side, because of the way it treats its workers, often seen as unfair and immoral.
