After the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards at the Sundance 2012 Film Festival, comedian Tracy Morgan collapsed to the floor and was rushed to the hospital. His publicist has denied reports of alcohol intoxication.

Word broke online that Morgan fell unconscious right after his speech at the aforementioned awards, where he was being honored, after he was taken outside because he was feeling ill.

Initial reports also said that he had been acting weird all night, with TMZ claiming to have it on good authority that he had appeared extremely intoxicated.

Apparently, he kept yelling and acting strangely, even falling to the ground a few times.

Consequently, voices online started to speculate on whether the actor had too much to drink before the gala, a rumor that has been denied by his publicist in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

“From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention,” his rep says for THR.

“He is with his fiancée and grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care. Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100% false,” the comedian's publicist further notes.

His condition is now unknown.

“Morgan was taken to Park City Medical Center and his current condition in unknown. A spokeswoman for for the hospital stated that no drugs or alcohol were found in Tracy's system upon medical evaluation,” THR says.

This is not the first time that Tracy makes headlines for the wrong reasons.

In June last year, he caused quite an uproar with the fans and in the media when he included a very offensive homophobic joke in his routine, saying he'd kill his son if he told him he was gay.

Morgan apologized profusely at least on a couple of occasions but, for some fans, the damage had already been done, as we also reported at the time.
