If one were to pinpoint the exact moment when Tracy Anderson became a fixture in showbiz, that would be back in the day when Madonna revealed she was training with her. Today, Anderson is one of the most sought after celebrity trainers, coming out with a variety of products and programs meant to help regular Janes get a body like their favorite singer or actress.

In a recent interview with Into the Gloss, Anderson talks about her program and how it’s helped another one of her most famous clients: Gwyneth Paltrow, who is also her business partner now.

She also namedrops Madonna, but doesn’t go into the thorny issue of why they went their separate ways: word in the industry has it that the singer simply grew tired of how much “baggage” Anderson was always carrying around.

Several of their businesses also didn’t go as planned, so there was that too.

Things appear to run smoothly with Tracy’s new partner, Gwyneth but, before she was that, she was just another client, another woman after a pregnancy who could not get the body she knew she wanted.

“I agreed to meet with Gwyneth, and she said, ‘I’ve got this movie coming up where I have to be a superhero.’ It was the very first Iron Man. She said, ‘I know you have a son – I just had Moses – and I can’t get this weight off. I’ve never had a problem like this in my life.’ She had 35 extra [15.8 kg] pounds on her,” Tracy recalls.

“Her [backside] was long and she had outer thigh problems. Gwyneth is lucky because she’s really tall, so she can hide it really well in clothes, but she had significant problem areas. I felt so badly for her, and thought I could really help,” she continues.

“So, I agreed, and she did everything that I asked. Now, seven years later, she looks younger every year; she’s totally transformed. And she really does the work. She and I became business partners, too, because she said, ‘Every woman has to have this. It’s not fair. I’ve tried everything and nothing works like this. You’re a real gift.’ It wasn’t a business decision for her at all,” Anderson further says.

In the same interview, she recalls her younger years as a dancer and how much weight she gained then even though she was dancing for hours on end every day. It was because she lacked the proper method, which she has now, she explains.
