Santa is making the final preparations before he heads off to distribute presents to the children of the world. With his reindeer-powered sleigh, he's able to travel great distances incredibly fast. But not fast enough to escape the latest tracking technologies.

As has been the tradition for several years now NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, will be tracking his movements via a variety of methods.

Luckily, you too can keep an eye on Santa, since his movements will be monitored and plotted in real time in Google Earth.

You can find the official Santa tracker over at a NORAD website. However, you can also follow him in Google Maps. This also works on the mobile version of the site. If you want a third dimension, you can use the Google Earth plugin-in.
