The slate is a revamping of the original Tabeo tablet released in October 2012

The child-friendly company Toys R announced the release their second-generation Tabeo e2 tablet for kids, next month.

Little techies and their parents will have the opportunity to choose between three differently colored slates: blue, pink and clear.

The tablet offers an upgraded 8-inch display with a 1024 x 768 resolution, a dual-core 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and will ship pre-installed with Android Jelly Bean 4.2.

Storage-wise, the kiddie gadget will be available starting at 8GB which can be increased to 64GB.

The tablet focuses on educational apps and allows for customizable parental control options.

Tabeo E2 is not only work and no fun. The Tabeo app offers access to some of the most popular mobile games like Bejeweled 2, Temple Run 2 and Need for Speed Most Wanted.

But, most importantly, the tablet is going to be sold at a very good price – $150 / €113.
