Google's video sharing service is now hosting a new channel created in collaboration with Toyota in order to host several short documentary clips about environmental protection efforts. Toyota has been trying to promote its "aim: zero emissions" campaign for a long time and is now turning to YouTube to bring the video content to the consumers from all around the world.

"We want to share some very exciting new ideas on environmental innovation with the connected world", says Maria Isabel Rodriguez Leon, Corporate Affairs, Toyota Motor Europe. "Real innovation happens across a variety of industries and we want to inspire people to think of new ideas."

YouTube is currently hosting an impressive number of channels created by companies from all around the world which are trying to promote their campaigns and bring video content straight to the users. Toyota uses the Google video sharing technology to promote its environment protection methods through one of the most popular services on the web.

"We take environmental innovation very seriously", says Maria Isabel. "It's part of the DNA of Toyota and we have the record to prove it. The technologies featured in the movies are pretty ingenious and they reflect the thinking that our engineers apply when developing new vehicles."

Since YouTube was acquired in October 2006 by the super giant Google, the video sharing service boosted its audience with millions of visitors attracted every day. Certainly, many of these visitors come from the partnerships made by YouTube with other companies which are continuously bringing video content inside users' browsers.

I'm not sure how many agreements YouTube signed but, after the Viacom case when MTV's owner demanded the removal of 100,000 clips from the page, the company's officials sustained they made no less than 1,000 deals. Since then, the number has been well increased by other partnerships which brought tons of clips for YouTube's page.
