Touch Darts Announced for DS

- The best darts experience promised for the handheld console

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

A darts game played together with your friends always means good entertainment and it seems that developers Agetec feel the same way, since they have decided to bring the darts game to our Nintendo DS consoles. Dubbed "Touch Darts", the title will be released in North America this June and it promises to give you a darts experience better than the real life one (you'll surely
hit the bullseye more often than in real life – that's a promise!)

The game offers four modes of play (tournament, challenge, quick play and multiplayer). The good thing regarding the multiplayer mode is that up to four players can compete against one another via a single cartridge, which kind of means free game for your friends!

"This game will make you feel as if you were really in your living room, at your friend’s house, in the pub, or in a tournament tossing darts," said Mark Johnson, producer at Agetec. "Another great feature in Touch Darts is the challenge mode, which takes traditional dart tossing and puts a whole new spin on it. Challenge mode consists of ten mini games and includes the classics like Killer, Round the Clock, and 1001, but also includes all new games like Speed Darts. In Speed Darts, players must score a certain amount of points in a given period of time. Challenge mode is a lot of fun and is something even seasoned darts players will find fresh."

In order to make the game seem more real, Agetec have fully implemented the touchscreen and the stylus, and they promise that even the most hardcore darts fanatic will be happy with the game – which is a great thing (as long as I can hit the bullseye once every three shots, that is!). We'll get the chance to test it this June – which means that we'll tell you everything about it pretty soon, so stay tuned on Softpedia!
