Plenty of repairs for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions

The developers of Total Commander just released the seventh beta for version 8.0 of the file manager. Unlike the previous release, which sported fixes mostly for the 64-bit version of the software, this one also mends plenty of bugs for the 32-bit edition.

Modifications run from fixing issues with the background color, Lister, quick search, hotkey for the packer and FTP trouble, to adding new features.

Some other fixes refer to background copying/moving, which now works regardless if you press F5/F6 or Enter keys. Also, scrolling in “compare by content” window is now possible and no longer jumps in long files.

As far as new additions are concerned, one of the most prominent, and suitable for most users, is the introduction of auto-complete, which can append backslash to folders (except in the main window command-line).
