Total Commander has received a brand new update this morning, so if you’re one of the many users running it right now, make sure you deploy it as soon as possible.

Basically, Total Commander 8.50 Beta 5 is supposed to fix some of the bugs found in the previous releases, but it also brings options to set up selection of files by clicking on their icons via the main configuration dialog.

In addition, you can now use selection of files by clicking on their icons only when tapping on touch screen, according to the official release notes.

What’s more, bugs affecting the background transfer manager and other basic operations should no longer exist, as the new beta is supposed to fix them all. Don’t forget that it’s still a beta, so a number of issues might still exist.
