It adds separate commands for viewing hidden and system files

A new beta has been released today for Total Commander 8.50. The developer announced it mainly as a bugfix revision, but new functionality has also been implemented.

It is not much and the average user won’t even notice the change, but for those relying on the built-in FTP tool, these will make a difference under certain circumstances.

A warning is now issued when editing a file that has not been fully downloaded and automatically re-uploading items to FTP or file system plugin when saved (F3/F4) is currently turned off by default. However, a prompt will ask the user whether they want to enable it at first use.

Starting this build, the commands for switching hidden and system files on or off have been separated. As such, you can use “cm_SwitchHid” for toggling on/off the visibility of hidden files and “cm_SwitchSys” for system items.

As for bug fixes, they touch on components such as Lister, Duplicate File Finder or Background Copy dialog.
