There are seven new things in the latest beta for Total Commander. They refer mainly to directory synchronization and multi-rename tool.
The developer improved and now comparing two solid RAR archives is done much faster. On the same note, the new version can search for content inside archives, if the plugin packer supports the function.
Multi-rename tool underwent some modifications and shows two new options, “1x” and “[E]”. If “1x” is enabled only the first occurrence of the search string will be replaced. When “[E]” is unchecked, the search string is replaced only within the name part, leaving the extension untouched.
Another novelty addresses Lister, which can open folders just Ctrl+Q, but only in the normal file system.
The set of new features included in
Total Commander 8.0 Beta 8 is completed by two experimental entries, designed to show the focus on the element in the inactive panel.
