
The Redmond Company's upcoming response to Apple's iPod is rapidly reaching the end of its embryonic stage as a marriage between Toshiba and Microsoft was confirmed. The US software giant revealed
that Toshiba will take Zune out of its incubation period and into mass production. As official confirmation surfaces from the Redmond Company, related to the manufacturer of Microsoft's attempt to shake Apple's dominance, additional Zune details and pictures of the device were also released to the public.
A document filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) by Toshiba was made public and turned into news instantaneously. It contains confirmation of the partnership, details of devices characteristics and even pictures accurately describing the digital media player.
The official details of the product confirm the speculations that were generated in regard to Zune. Microsoft's digital music player will feature a 30GB hard drive, Wi-Fi capability and FM radio. The device's Wi-Fi characteristics will permit file sharing among players and even advanced connectivity options as up to four users will be able to concomitantly enjoy music from a single device.
