Toshiba may have released some new 3D notebooks of the high end variety, but it looks like its Satellite series of such machines also saw the arrival of the L700 and C600 units, although sales will only start later this month.

When it comes to mobile computers, companies that deal in such things periodically update their product lineups.

All of them have at least one so-called brand or product line that is known better than the rest, at least in certain areas of the industry.

For Toshiba, the Satellite series of notebooks includes quite a few of its better known products, both consumer and business-oriented.

Apparently, in addition to having created the ones with 3D support, the outfit also built a pair of so-called sub-series for business owners, students and families.

The Satellite C600 features 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch machines with an AMD C-50 or E-350 APU (accelerated processing unit), backed by 4 GB of RAM, a HDD of up to 640GB and the obligatory wired (Ethernet) and wireless (WiFi) connectivity.

Meanwhile, the Satellite L700 features 13.3 inches, 14 inches,. 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches in screen sizes. In that order, they are named L735, L475, L755 and L775.

Their central processor is a second generation Intel Core unit or an AMD A-series chip, backed by matching memory and storage options.

Also, Toshiba decided to offer several color options, those being white, red, brown, blue, graphite and silver.

All in all, by blending “fashion, functionality and mobility, Satellite L700 Series of everyday value laptops are ideal for families, students and small business owners looking for a stylish laptop with plenty of power at a reasonable price,” while “the entry-level Satellite C600 Series laptops are ideal for price-conscious consumers, students and first-time buyers looking for basic productivity at home or the office.”

The starting price of the Satellite C600 is $380, while the ones of the L700 series range between $450 and $580. Shipments should commence before this month (June, 2011) is out.
