Toshiba made its debut on the full-featured projector dedicated market by launching a pretty nice all-in-one multimedia projector featuring "extreme short projection" targeting the business and the academic segment.

The TDP-ET20U Mobile Multimedia DVD Projector sports an integrated DVD player and 5.1 channel Dolby Pro Logic surround sound support and is capable of displaying a massive 100 inch screen image from a mere 3.9 feet away, according to Mobile Whack.

But Epson has the know-how on this market and its projectors are regarded as being the best in town. Its latest discovery is the EMP-S4 which sports an A/V mute slide function, which has been developed to eliminate all the light and also to reduce fan noise when functioning is temporarily suspended by the user.

The Epson EMP-S4 is, in fact, a portable projector based on the 3LCD technology which creates sharper and clearer images, as it also optimizes the color displayed on the board. But the images benefit also from another special developed feature - the E-TORL (Epson-Twin Optimize Reflection Lamp) technology, which enhances lamp brilliance by reducing light outflowing and diffraction.

"The new projector integrates features which allow users to rapidly set-up, quickly stop or resume a presentation, and shut down the machine immediately with minimal intervention. Its excellent visual display quality also means the EPSON EMP-S4 is versatile enough for users looking for a projector to complement home entertainment needs. The EPSON EMP-S4's exciting features offer greater convenience and enhanced productivity at an affordable pricing, making it the perfect projection system for the modern business and home user," stated Kent Lew, Manager for Visual Instruments at Epson Singapore.
