Looks like Quanta has scored manufacturing deals with Lenovo and Toshiba for the production of their tablets, which have ARM as a hardware platform and Windows 8 as the operating system.

As previously reported, sales will only begin at some point during the first quarter of 2013.

In the meantime, the companies are building on other plans, such as Wintel slates.

Lenovo, according to Digitimes, is actively developing such slates and intends to unleash both Medfield and Clover Trail-W tablets in 2012.

Furthermore, considering the existence of the IdeaPad Yoga, one can assume more hybrids to appear over time as well.

Unfortunately, the report lacked specifics, so people will have to wait for more leaks or official announcements if they want to know exactly what devices everyone has in store for the short- and mid-term.
