With a nice range of connectivity options

Toshiba seems set to deliver to the market yet another high-end mobile phone that will step on the same road as the already available and well known around the world Toshiba TG01 did, as a so-called Toshiba TG02 has just passed through FCC's courtyard. TG01, as many of you might already know, was the first smartphone that arrived on the market with that Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor on board, and is also among the first mobile phones upgraded to Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system after it came on the market in October last year.

The successor of TG01, which still impresses with that 4.1-inch display it boasts, recently made a pit stop over at FCC, where it was spotted by Engadget, and is set to arrive on the market with a nice range of connectivity options on board, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), as well as quad-band GSM and 3G, although it seems that US frequencies are not present with it.

Moreover, it appears that the device will come to the market as the Toshiba TG02 (a name that popped up into the wild before), clearly following the steps of its predecessor, yet there are no details on the operating system it might include. Those interested in learning a few more details on the new device from Toshiba should head over to FCC to find out more, though details on a possible launch date, OS or carrier to have it are not available for the time being, it seems.

For what it's worth, there are great chances that Toshiba would plan on bringing the TG02 along at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month, and all the necessary details on the phone will be unveiled at that time. Hopefully, the second TG will also run under Microsoft's mobile client, but not on the currently available version. Windows Mobile 7 is expected to be unveiled at the event, and it shouldn't come as a surprise if TG02 runs under it. Stay tuned to learn what Toshiba has in store for us with this handset.
