The Windows Mobile-powered Toshiba TG01, the high-end smartphone that comes to the market powered by the already popular Snapdragon platform, is coming to O2 Germany customers pre-loaded with Nimbuzz. Mobile phone users in the country can now purchase the handset through any O2 channel across Germany, while also being able to enjoy all the features that Nimbuzz brings to them.

As many of you might already know, the Toshiba TG01 was unveiled to the world earlier this year, and has already been launched on the market in Japan. The Snapdragon platform, which boasts a 1GHz processor, is only one selling point of the phone, as it also comes to the market with a large 4.1-inch display.

For what it's worth, the Toshiba TG01 is an ultra-fast mobile phone that includes a wide range of multimedia capabilities. In addition, it can also offer users a variety of connectivity options, enabling them to enjoy the video, gaming and social networking experiences that are available on desktop computers. At the same time, Nimbuzz has been pre-installed on the new device to stand at the core of its social networking capabilities.

Hiroyuki Goto, technical director, Toshiba Information Systems (UK) Ltd, Mobile Communications Divison, says, “We chose the best of breed mobile content to accompany such a strategic handset for our business and are delighted to offer the TG01 with Nimbuzz as our social messaging partner for the launch of the device with O2 Germany.”

According to Nimbuzz, the fact that it has been selected as the social messaging partner of choice for Toshiba and O2 represents a great achievement for the company. The collaboration between the three enterprises resulted in offering an enhanced “hyper-connected” lifestyle for mobile phone users. Nimbuzz can be launched on the phone via a central icon on the main screen, offering users the possibility to connect with friends via the most popular IM and social networks.
