The Android 4.1 operating system may or may not reach the AT100

Even though there still are tablets and other devices that haven't moved from Android 3.x Honeycomb to Android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich, some of those that do possess ICS are going even further.

The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system was released late last month (June 2012), so consumer electronics devices have begun to update their software.

Things haven't been moving all that quickly though. Companies want to make sure their ports are as bug-free as possible before they do anything.

They likely also don't want to promise anything, only to have to delay release later on because of this or that problem.

One of the corporations that has proven to be faster about it, according to Tabletblog.de, is Toshiba, whose AT200 and AT300 tablets will soon receive it.

No word on the AT100 or other products just yet, but we're willing to bet it is all just a matter of time.
