A division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., the Digital Products Division (DPD), announced this weekend that some of the models included in the Toshiba Satellite series, namely the select ones, will feature the next-generation AMD
based notebook platform. Variations of AMD's Athlon Dual Core QL, Turion Dual Core RM and Turion Ultra ZM processor technology are available for the Satellite notebook series, including the P300D, A300D, M300D, U400D, L300D and L350D models.

The notebooks feature 15.4" or 17" wide screens that provide bright display, incredible color and clarity, fitting into the well known Toshiba Satellite series. Users can also choose from a generous range of storage, memory and processors options, as to create the notebook configurations that best fit their needs. More personalization and enjoyability is offered along with the new models, as the company tried to provide users with the machines that can be used either at school, at home or at work, and yet still be able to stand up in the crowd.

More features of the new Satellite series are available as well. The models offer great versatility and a stylish design that complement the high-performance capabilities they provide. Both the hardware design and the software utilities the notebooks offer have been created to be user-friendly and easy to use right out-of-the-box. The highly polished Fusion finish, handsome Horizon pattern, sleek flush-mounted touchpad, and feather-touch CD/DVD control buttons are meant both to catch the eye and ensure the most enjoyable user experience.

Toshiba assures its users that the new AMD platform notebook models are capable of offering enhanced performance, superior graphics experience, as well as prolonged battery life. The new laptop platform becomes quite a balanced one through the combination of all these new features, providing users with both extended battery life and the high performance they are looking for.
