Price fixing lawsuits or not, Toshiba is definitely not falling passive any time soon, having had one of its larger notebooks listed online, even though shipments won't start for a while yet.

Users might be aware of the fact that, not long ago, Toshiba and 13 other companies got sued for alleged price fixing.

While the courts make heads or Tails of the claims, Toshiba doesn't seem to have slowed down much in its other endeavors.

This, of course, extends to more than just its efforts on the tablet market, which seem to have finally borne fruit (the accessibly-priced Thrive tablet even made the first steps towards availability in Canada recently).

For instance, its laptop business is very much alive and well, as proven by the Satellite L775D-S7210 mobile personal computer.

Basically, the machine showed up as available for pre-order, its price being of $579.99, which isn't really that much for a 17.3-incher, although, admittedly, the distinct lack of a discrete graphics card might have something to do with it.

Speaking of the screen, the liquid crystal display panel boasts a native resolution of 1,600 x 900 pixels, plus TruBrite LED backlighting.

As for the internal hardware configuration, everything revolves around an AMD A6 APU (accelerated processing unit) whose frequency is of 2.3 GHz and which has the Integrated Radeon HD 6520M graphics. Said processor is backed up by 4 GB of RAM (random access memory).

For storage, Toshiba threw in not just the expected optical drive (DVD in this case) but also the obligatory hard disk drive (HDD), its capacity being of 640 GB.

Other specifications include 10/100 Ethernet, a media card reader, multi-gesture touchpad, HDMI, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and a webcam, to name a few.

Needless to say, the Toshiba Satellite L775D-S7210 (framed in blue-colored aluminum) runs the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system (Home Premium 64 bit).
