Projectors have been around for quite some time now and have become almost an indispensable tool for making various presentations in front of a large audience. And this is exactly the reason why the Toshiba company has launched the TDP-PX10U ultra-portable projector, a device that delivers some pretty impressive features at a relatively affordable price tag.

The device is a HDTV/DTV compatible projector that offers a 2,200 ANSI lumens brightness level, XGA 1,024 x 768 native resolution, 2000:1 contrast ratio and USB port for "PC-free" presentations. For added value, the projector also features a DLP BrilliantColor display, which uses up to six separate colors: red, blue, green, cyan, yellow and magenta for a wider variety of accurate, vibrant colors that won't fade over time.

The projector also includes a few features that make it quite user-friendly, as for example the automatic set up feature and smart keystone correction system, not to mention the variety of included connectivity options, including here D-sub 15 interface, S-Video and RCA connectors, as well as a stereo mini-jack and an USB 2.0 interface. Moreover, the TDP-PX10U sports a 2.0 watt speaker for enhanced presentations and also comes with a fully-loaded remote control.

"The TDP-PX10U ultraportable projector offers mobile professionals and consumers everything they need for extraordinary presentations and digital home entertainment without the back ache and premium pricing," said Sam Malik, director of projector sales and marketing, Toshiba Digital Products Division. "Less than two-thirds the size of a sheet of paper and capable of creating up to an amazing 300-inch diagonal image, the TDP-PX10U projector will grab any audience's attention."

As mentioned right from the title, the TDP-PX10U retails for around 999 US dollars (which is under 1,000, after all), a more or less fair price to pay for this thing, taking into account the features it has to offer.
