Every major manufacturer seems to have gone projector-crazy nowadays, as not a day goes by without an announcement in this specific segment of the consumer electronics market. And today it's Toshiba's turn, who has unveiled the TDP-EX20U,
a projector that provides some pretty interesting features, at least taking into consideration the specific market segment it's targeting, namely that of conference room projectors.

Thus, the device presented by Toshiba has a XGA 1024 x 768 native resolution, a 2000:1 contrast ratio and "extreme short projection" capabilities that produce a 60-inch image from just three feet away. Moreover, it supports both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios and provides a brightness level of around 2300 ANSI lumens.

As any modern projector, the TDP-EX20U offers users quite a large number of connectivity options, including here a 2 D-sub 15 connectors, a Composite video interface, an S-Video connector, as well as an audio connector. Moreover, it has also been fitted with output audio jacks, which means that it can be connected to an external audio system for an enhanced audio experience, and sports built-in USB and Ethernet interfaces.

And since we're on the subject of connectivity, it's worth mentioning the fact that the device supports quite a wide variety of input signals, namely 480p/480i/576i/576p/720p/1080i, which means that the users will be able to throw pretty much everything they might want at it. Moreover, the projector also offers password-protection in order to prevent unauthorized usage, as well as an instant power shut down capability, which allows the user to turn off and disconnect the projector from the power outlet instantly without any cool-down time required.

As mentioned earlier, this thing is available at a pretty affordable price tag, namely around 1600 US dollars, which is quite OK, taking into consideration the features (and price tags) the competitors' products have to offer.
