The giant Toshiba proudly announces the portable TV device launching. The TV device was dubbed V41 and it's said to support 1 seg, in Japanese mobile TV format broadcasts.

As for the TV device's capabilities, it can deal with WMV, WMA 10, WMA 9 Lossless, as well as Mp3 and WAV formats for audio content and JPEG files for photo slide showing option. The player's design is comfortable to handle, reveals some classy patterns and doesn't have an unaesthetic control buttons scheme.

You have to admit the size matters a lot when purchasing this type of device, so I guess a 3.5-inch size could actually be a convenient dimension. To make a better idea of its size, I should probably tell you it measures 11.5 x 75 x 23.5mm, weighting only 168 grams.

It also displays a fine resolution of 320 x 240 pixels LCD, and comes packed with an internal memory of about 4GB in Flash. Not to mention that the sharing of the media content is also possible, as the portable TV device features an integrated speaker. However, if the memory storage proves to be insufficient, the user can try the built-in SD/SDHC cards slot, or the USB 2. connectivity.

In addition to all these cool features, the Gigabeat V41 does some great playback for about 40 hours, while watching the favorite videos, or about 10 hours, if watching the TV media content. Among other interesting options integrated in the Gigabeat V41, there is also a video-recording capability, which allows you to store favorite shows, for later viewing. And if you're somehow interested in Toshiba's Gigabeat V41 TV device, you should know it was priced at about 29.800 Yen, about 260 bucks. Available online, too. Too bad it only can be used in Japan, for the time being.
