One might remember that Toshiba unveiled a certain tablet way back in early January, and it looks like that very product has now gotten a when and where as far as availability goes, plus a price, although the information may not be exactly what some may have hoped for.

There is no real point in wondering if PC and consumer electronics makers have any plans to push something on the tablet market.

In fact, with how quickly these products have gained popularity, one would be hard pressed to find any company that didn't at least consider the prospect.

Of course, some of them were quicker than others at outlining their intention, such as Toshiba, whose engineers have been working on a media slate for months.

While still unnamed, the tablet was revealed back in early January, during the 2011 edition of the Consumer Electronics Show.

Back then, it was only said that the product would be officially unleashed sometime during the first half of the ongoing year.

In other words, Toshiba could keep working on it until June came around, and it looks like this will actually happen.

More specifically, a report has revealed both the pricing and availability details of what is now known as the Regza AT300. Late June is the target period.

For those that want a reminder, the ARM-based Tegra 2 SoC (system-on-chip) from NVIDIA has a 10.1-inch screen to work with, whose native resolution is of 1,280 x 800 pixels.

A 5 megapixel webcam exists on the back, while USB, HDMI and LAN/Wireless connectivity, among other things, completes the I/O ensemble.

Finally, as one will surely not be surprised to learn, the Android 3.0 Honeycomb Operating System is present.

Prospective purchasers from Japan (that is the only place where sales will be carried out, at least at first) will have to part with ¥60,000, the equivalent of $723.
