After being released in the UK just a few days ago, Toshiba’s Excite AT200 Android tablet has now also arrived in Sweden, where it is available immediately from various online and offline retailers.

Meant to become a premium Android tablet, the 7.7mm (0.3 inches) thick Excite AT200 is the slimmest 10.1-inch slate around, and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 Cortex A9 SoC, paired together with 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM.

A 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing snapper are also installed while connectivity options, including Micro HDMI, Micro USB, WiFi and Bluetooth (sadly, 3G isn’t available).

As most other 10.1-inch Android tablets, the Excite AT200’s display has a resolution of 1280x800 and also offers 178-degree viewing angles.

According to Toshiba, the built-in battery pack can provide up to eight hours of video playback and the whole tablet weighs a mere 1.18 pounds (535g).

Other features include a built-in GPS, 3D accelerometer and electronic compass, a pair of 1.5 Watt stereo speakers, and a custom video player with support for various movie formats.

The AT200 tablet will initially run the 3.2 version of the Android OS, also known as Honeycomb, but an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update should arrive soon afterwards.

In Sweden, pricing for the 16GB version of the AT200 was established at 4490 SEK ($677 or 509 EUR), including VAT, according to Nordic Hardware.

In the UK, the same tablet retails for the equivalent of $631 US or 480 EUR (VAT is also included), so Swedish customers have to pay extra if they want to buy the AT200 from their own country. Pricing for the 32GB version of the tablet is not yet known.

Toshiba’s AT200 slate is also known as Excite X10 in the US, and as the Regza AT200 in some parts of Asia.
