Another week, another tablet. Toshiba is the one making a product introduction this time, using the REGZA brand.
Despite REGZA’s being mostly a TV brand, the company is using it for tablets as well.
The new one has a screen of 10.1 inches (diagonal) and a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. It is an IPS panel with wide viewing angles.
At the heart of the device lies NVIDIA's good old Tegra 3 quad-core 4-PLUS-1 SoC, plus 1 GB of RAM (random access memory).
Then there is the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and the Splashtop, plus a battery that can last for 10 hours on a charge.
All in all, the REGZA AT501 justifies its price of 40,000 yen ($425 / €316), though it is more expensive than Nexus 10.
