The folks over at Toshiba have posted a series of field testing videos designed to investigate the levels of endurance of their products.
Granted, they are a little bit extreme, but they manage to drive the point home, fair and square. In his particular video, the Toshiba Encore Windows 8.1 tablet is taken out for a spin and, when I say spin, I literally mean it.
The Encore is being marketed as being capable of surviving a fall of 15 inches / 0.4 m, but the field testing crew aims to push the envelope, so they perform disc throw using the Encore instead of a discus.
The results? The tablet is thrown 57 feet / 684 inches /17 m, which is a massive increase from what was originally advertised. Sure, the Encore get its screen cracked, but surprise-surprise, the device can still be turned on and appears to be functional. Check the video above to see for yourselves!
