Not so long ago, Toshiba pushed out three new tablets into the world, two of them running Windows 8.1 with Bing out of the box, while the last of them had Android.

But since Computex is underway, Microsoft took the opportunity to unveil another Toshiba Encore slate that for some reason failed to materialize with the others a while back, says Microsoft-News.

Microsoft Corporate VP for Microsoft, Nick Parker, demonstrated a bunch of slates that will go on sale with very low price tags and onto new markets.

So, we got to meet the new Toshiba Encore 7 tablet, which might be one of the first 7-inchers to become available with Windows out of the box.

The tablet is said to be a joint venture between Microsoft, Toshiba but also Intel, Goodix and AMI. Microsoft made a point in highlighting that the tablet would be priced very aggressively, so expect it to arrive with a price-tag revolving around $150 / €110.

The new Toshiba tablet will offer a 1024 x 600 pixel display with limited viewing angles. Power will be provided by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z3735 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage.

As for the other two Encore tablets with Windows 8.1 launched not so long ago, they arrived with 1280 x 800 pixels and an Intel quad-core Atom Z3745F processor. We’re probably going to be seeing something along these lines with the Encore 7.
