If you are both a gaming enthusiast and a fan of Toshiba's portable computer systems, then the company's latest addition to its Qosmio range of notebooks might just be everything you have been looking for. The new Qosmio X305-Q708 gaming laptop has been specifically built to take advantage of the latest technologies from Intel and NVIDIA, and to deliver a high-performance level in a 17-inch form factor portable computer system.

“At Toshiba, we relentlessly pursue innovative solutions as a means to supply our consumers with the best possible technology,” said Carl Pinto, vice president of product development, Digital Products Division, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. “The Qosmio X305-Q708 is a serious gaming machine, and an example of that pursuit.”

The new portable system from Toshiba is built with high-performance in mind, with features that are required by gaming enthusiasts who also need to take their favorite gaming applications wherever they go. It boasts support for Intel's Core 2 Quad processors designed with the latest 45nm process technology, and incorporates two NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS GPUs in SLI connection, delivering a total of 1GB of DDR3 graphics memory.

There are few other things also worth mentioning about the new Qosimo X305 laptop from Toshiba. For starters, it comes equipped with 4GB of DDR3 RAM memory, clocked at 1066MHz, two storage solutions, with one 128GB SSD for faster access and a high-capacity 320GB SATA HDD. You will also get a DVD optical drive, wireless 802.11 b/g/n LAN connectivity with Bluetooth option, a full-size keyboard and a built-in 1.3MP Webcam with Toshiba Face Recognition software.

Given the above-mentioned specifications, the notebook's MRSP of $4,199 is rather justified, but even so, it's likely that only a limited number of user will take interest in acquiring this state-of-the art portable system.
