Toshiba did not hold back in its latest press releases, unveiling not just entry-level and basic entertainment laptops, but also an all-in-one system and, in this case, an even stronger laptop that contrasts with a compact, portable netbook.
The beginning of October, 2011, will mark the arrival of a whole bunch of computers from Toshiba, mobile or otherwise.
The first one we covered is
this particular all-in-one PC, with a screen size of 23 inches (it has multi-touch, wireless peripherals, the whole package for acting like a so-called a media hub).
Secondly, when it comes to laptops, the budget-conscious consumer and people who like their multimedia will be interested in the
C600 and L700 Series.
Then again, people who like music and video may have slightly higher standards, so Toshiba created the P700 series of notebook as well.
They will sell for $629.99 or more (463.94 Euro, or so exchange rates say) and feature screen sizes of 14 inches, 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches.
At the center of the configuration lies either an Intel CPU or an AMD chip, each with its own integrated graphics.
Also, to allow for the maximum enjoyment of whatever music and videos one decides to partake in, Toshiba threw in Harman/Kardon speakers.
There is also the option to include the Blu-ray Disk Player technology (makes the BR drive work like a BR Player) and the possibility to have Intel Wireless Display as well (wirelessly streams video to an HDTV).
The NB505 is a different creature, a netbook running Windows 7 and based on an Intel Atom CPU, the price being of $299.99 (220.90 Euro).
It will have the standard entry-level specs (mostly) and the Easy Grip finish with multiple color options (Turquoise, Blue, Lime Green, Brown and Orange). Toshiba nicknamed it “a Windows companion PC with unbeatable style.”
