It appears that a certain tablet from Toshiba, which was previewed a while ago, has once again surfaced, this time accompanied by some actual specification and availability details.

The tablet segment has grown at such a rate that even companies that specialize in different IT areas have started to try their hand at it, like Sparkle.

Now, it seems that Toshiba is getting ready to make its own push, one that, it hopes, will catapult it near the lead of the market.

The product it devised is one whose existence was leaked to the world last month, via a premature listing, as many products tend to.

Now, some information has arisen on not just the specifications, but also the availability and pricing details.

Turns out that the Thrive, as it is dubbed, will debut, or at least begin to take pre-orders, quite soon, on June 13 in fact, at a price that will depend mainly on how much storage space it gets landed with.

The base model, with 8 GB, will cost $429, which is quite an advantageous price considering that most slates revolve around the $500 mark.

Then again, the 16 GB model definitely approaches that point ($479) while the 32GB one goes beyond it, to $579.

As far as everything else goes, the NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC lies at the basis of the newcomer and is paired with a 10.1-inch display whose native resolution is of 1,280 x 800 pixels.

Additionally, the product is equipped with an SD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, GPS, USB 2.0, an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor and a gyroscope, plus a pair of webcams of 5 megapixels (720p video recording) and 2 megapixels on the back and front, respectively.

All this hardware is managed by the Android 3.1 operating system and will be possible to bundle with such things as docking stations, wireless keyboards, etc.
