Business users are getting a real treat from Toshiba today. Besides unveiling its newest mobile workstation, the PC manufacturer has also added its Portégé R30 premium laptop to its line.

The new device doesn't disappoint in terms of portability and lightness, and keeps the standard bar high, to compete with other machines from the current wave of laptops.

“As today’s professionals become increasingly mobile, they need a laptop that is ultra-portable, but without sacrificing the performance and features of a business class PC,” explained Marketing VP Carl Pinto.

“The Portégé R30 offers full performance, durability and battery life in a simple, 13-inch form factor, enabling increasing productivity and flexibility for mobile workers, while providing the enterprise security needed by corporate IT departments.”

The new laptop features a powerful 4th generation Intel Core M processor with 16GB of DDR3 memory, which will allow the most demanding programs to roll without any issue. Built to perform in dangerous environments, the Portégé features a shock-absorbing design and is coated in a honeycomb protection structure that increases the device’s durability.

To help keep the laptop’s heating levels optimal, Toshiba has added its innovative Air Flow II technology, so professionals can work long hours at maximum speed.

Other specifications include three USB 3.0 ports, full-fledged HDMI port, card reader and Ethernet port. The device is also bundled with USB 3.0 Sleep & Charge will allows users to charge other devices with the laptop off.

Toshiba will make available the Portégé R30 laptop starting November 2013, via Toshiba selected partners and from ToshibaDirect.com.
