People may have been hoping that Toshiba's AT200 10.1-inch Android tablet would show up in time to start an early rivalry with ASUS' latest slate, but this won't happen, apparently.

Based on the latest activity from Toshiba's Facebook page in Germany, the AT200 will only debut in January next year, 2012.

It wasn't made clear if this applies to both Europe and the US, or any other region the company is aiming for.

Still, the assumption is that no one will see the item before the ongoing year is out, contrary to previous reports.

Toshiba AT200 will be powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor and will possess 64 GB of storage and all other expected slate features (5MP and 2MP webcams, HDMI and Android 3.2, etc.), all in a 7.7mm-thick frame.

The story is way too skimpy & doesn;t provide enough useful inforation. Such as - if it slimmed down - what happened to the ports?

The information you are looking for wasn't (and still isn't, to my knowledge) public hence why it was not included here. I assume micro USB exists and such, but we'll have to wait until the company actually reveals something, or for some unofficial leak to provide more information.
