The development team at inXile announces that it has reached the final stretch goal for Tides of Numenera, despite the fact that contributions from actual fans have been a little below the targeted sum after taking into account both Kickstarter and PayPal funding drives.

Thomas Beekers, a line producer working on Torment, states via the team's blog that his team will be able to implement more ideas linked to the strongholds of the game, while also adding overall depth and length to the experience.

inXile also plans to use the extra money to explore “some of our crazier ideas concerning choice and consequence.”

Beekers says that the team is working hard to finalize the plot of Torment: Tides of Numenera and that more information will be given soon.

The goal has been reached after taking into account the sums that lead developer Brian Fargo and superfan Steven Dengler have pledged to deliver, matching contributions from fans.
