InXile Entertainment has just kicked off the Kickstarter campaign for Planescape Torment’s spiritual successor Tides of Numenera, which is expected to be published in December 2014.

Since Planescape Torment is one of the most popular CRPGs of all time, Brian Fargo and his team probably expected the new game to have no trouble in being funded on Kickstarter.

And they are correct as the project passed the $100K/€75K milestone in under 30 minutes since the Kickstarter campaign had begun.

Torment: Tides of Numenera will be funded if $900,000/€690.000 is raised by April 5, but seeing how fast the amount of money pledged increases, this is shaping up as another Brian Fargo branded success.

More details on the upcoming Torment game by inXile Entertainment are available on Kickstarter where you can also become a backer of the project by choosing one of the 21 pledge tiers.
