The development team at inXile is offering more information on their upcoming Torment: Tides of Numenera via a new Kickstarter update that delivers an entirely new piece of concept art linked to the game world and more information on some of the gameplay concepts.

The image is called The Ascension of Kex-Lianishand, shows a crystalline dimension that gamers might visit, and was created by Andree Wallin.

Adam Heine, a writer and designer working on the game, also offers more information on Tides and their impact on the player in Numenera's world.

The team also explains how the writing that will expand the game universe will work, stating via Kickstarter, "From the Depths will be a series of novellas interlinked, not in their stories or characters, but in their connections to the Tides and Torment's part of the Ninth World."

A new forum has also been opened for fans to offer their ideas for the development of the new Torment title.
