The development team at InXile is asking all gamers who are interesting in the Torment: Tides of Numenera project to decide whether the game will use a turn-based combat system, as was initially announced, or whether a switch to a real-time framework is needed.

The company details both concepts in an official blog post and says that it is willing to listen to feedback from gamers.

The team explains that, “the vote is strictly advisory. In any debate, there is always a vocal crowd and a silent majority. The discussion period is for the vocal crowd to sway people to their side, and then the vote ensures everyone’s voice is heard equally.”

Torment: Tides of Numenera is a classic role-playing title that will aim to deliver an experience that’s inspired by Plancescape: Torment.

It was funded via Kickstarter and should be launched at some point in 2015.
