“We’ve been through hell and back,” happy new mom says

In March this year, no less than 5 months after giving birth to her third child, Tori Spelling announced that she was pregnant again. The fourth time, she says in a new interview with Us Weekly, would not be so easy.

In fact, she recalls, it nearly cost her her life.

Twenty weeks into the pregnancy, Tori was diagnosed with placenta previa, which leads to “massive internal bleeding,” the celebrity publication says.

At one point, the doctors were even considering to terminate the pregnancy, so as to not put Tori at even bigger risk but she would not even hear of it.

Tori spent 4 months on bed rest and 10 weeks in the hospital, just so she could hold her son Finn in her arms and, at the same time, know for a fact she would return home to her other 3 children, to hug them too.

“I just remember thinking, I can’t leave three children behind,” Spelling says of what was going on through her mind at the time.

So, she fought for her life and that of her baby, but it wouldn’t be an easy battle ahead.

Us notes that her condition was all the more severe as she’d conceived Finn a little over a month after giving birth to baby Hattie. She’d also had 3 previous C-sections.

“Fortunately, after enduring nine massive bleeds — and one very close call — Spelling safely welcomed baby Finn Davey McDermott on Aug. 30. (Three weeks later, the star underwent successful emergency surgery after her C-section scars burst open.)” the publication writes.

It was a very shaky journey but one that she’s happy she took because she now gets to hold her son in her arms.

“When they put him in my arms I was like, ‘We made it.’ We have an insane bond. We’ve been through hell and back,” the happy and proud mom gushes.

This week’s issue of Us Weekly brings an 8-page pictorial with Finn and his family, and will be out on newsstands this Friday.
