Lifetime has released a new snippet from its upcoming docuseries True Tori, in which the former “Beverly Hills 90210” star Tori Spelling finally tackles months-old speculation that her marriage to Dean McDermott is in trouble because of his cheating. It is included in the GMA report below.

Tori and Dean’s marriage was rocked to the core when a 28-year-old woman, Emily Goodhand, went to the tabloids to claim she had a 2-night affair with Dean while he was on business in Canada. Neither Dean nor Tori ever addressed the rumors, but he checked into rehab after the New Year, cryptically saying something about wanting to change himself to keep his family together.

The first trailer for the series, released late last week, confirmed the cheating reports, with Dean crying on the couch of a therapist as he admitted “I cheated on my wife,” and saying that he had turned to strange women for “escape” just like a drug or alcohol addict would turn to these substances.

In the new video, Tori is seen facing the camera and explaining why she agreed to do the show: so much has been written about her life, particularly in recent months, that she decided she wanted to be the one telling the story for once. The series is all about “people getting to know the real me,” she says.

Spelling also explains how she found out about Dean’s cheating and no, it wasn’t straight from him. In fact, we’re to believe, had the woman he slept with not gone to the tabloids, he would have probably never come clean to his wife about his transgressions.

“I got a call from my publicist and she said, ‘I just want to tell you something. It's a girl, and she's claiming that she had an affair with Dean in Toronto when he was there. The girl has come forward. She's put her name to the story. She's giving all the details about her two-day affair with your husband in Toronto, and it's going to come out next week, Christmas’,” Tori says.

This is exactly how things played out. The odd part is that, right before New Year’s, Tori was still posting photos of the family on her official blog, with Dean included, as if there was no trouble in paradise.

The GMA report below also includes a shot that confirms that Tori took the reality TV cameras into the rehab facility where Dean sought treatment for his addiction. So, how much of this cheating drama do you think is true?
