14 DAY TRIAL // Dean McDermott, Tori Spelling’s husband of 7 years, is still in rehab after admitting he has a problem with staying faithful to his wife but, on a visit to the family home, he made sure Tori knows she has her own demons too.
And she needs to seek help for them as well, Radar Online reports, citing inside sources.
In other words, Dean is pressuring Tori into going to rehab herself because, he believes, she has a serious problem with spending the family’s money. Technically, if we’re to believe reports online, it’s her money she’s spending, not his, because she’s the sole breadwinner; but either way, Dean is trying to get her to curb her spending.
“Dean has told Tori she needs to get treatment for her spending, which is putting added pressure on the family. Tori’s spending is out of control… She will go through periods when it’s not an issue, but then she slips and buys stuff the family simply doesn’t need,” says the spy.
“There are nights that Dean doesn’t sleep because he is so concerned about how they are going to pay the bills. Tori is willing to get help, but complains she doesn’t have time because of their four kids,” the tipster continues.
Tori and Dean have been making a lot of headlines recently and it’s all media attention they would probably do without. Trouble started when a woman went to the press to say how she and Dean had spent a very torrid couple of weeks in a hotel in Canada, while Tori thought he was on a business trip.
Reports soon suggested that this wasn’t the first time he had cheated on her, as he had done so repeatedly over the past few years, with both men and women. Eventually, he checked himself into rehab, owning up in a press statement to the pain he’d caused to his family through his reckless actions.
Meanwhile, Tori has been trying to cope with the situation the best way possible, while also taking care of the children and the family home. Insiders claim that she would have filed for divorce already if she and Dean had a prenup, but they don’t and she’s afraid he would take her to the cleaners, asking for spousal support and alimony.
Last year, while she was promoting her latest book, the former “Beverly Hills 90210” actress admitted that they were in some financial trouble after living on a much larger scale than they could afford.
