Tori Spelling must have invested a great deal of money in quality waterproof makeup products, because she has been turning on the waterworks a lot in the second season of her Lifetime reality show True Tori. The two new trailers released for next week’s episode are proof of that, if any was still needed.

Both of them tease her already once-canceled meeting with her ex-husband Charlie, on whom she cheated with Dean 8 years ago. In the second episode of the second season, Tori reached the conclusion that she needed “closure” because she was carrying all this dead weight of undealt with emotions, so she asked for the meeting.

Apparently, it didn’t have the result Dean McDermott, her current husband, was hoping for.

More tears, more drama

It’s safe to say that, based on the 2 trailers Lifetime released, the new episode will be tearful and dramatic, perhaps even more so than the previous ones. The actual meeting between Tori and Charlie isn’t shown in them, but footage from before and after is included.

Tori spends a great deal of the time crying: she cries in her car on the way to the meeting and she cries in her car on her way back. However, she saves the bulk of her tears for when she gets back home, where she finds Dean in bed with a migraine.

She removes her sunglasses (because she had paparazzi camped outside her home and didn’t want them to snap photos of her with red, puffy eyes) and starts crying because she feels “lost” and empty inside, and is in serious pain from having said goodbye to her ex-husband – i.e. a man she has not been in contact with for 8 years.

But the worst part is, at least for Dean, that meeting Charlie has made Tori resent him even more for cheating on her last December with a woman from Canada, while he was away on work.

Let’s not forget about the cheating scandal

Not that Tori would ever allow viewers to forget about that: this is, after all, a show she got because of it and which she continues shooting because, apparently, though she has decided to stay with Dean, they’re yet to work through all their issues.

It all started in December last year, when a woman named Emily Goodhand went to one of the US weeklies and claimed to have had a 2-night affair with Dean. He had confided to her, apparently, that his marriage was “over” and that Tori was crazed for fame and attention and money, so she no longer had time or inclination for him.

For a couple more months, neither Tori nor Dean said anything about the cheating allegations, which they confirmed as true in the official announcement for their new show – one that would document, of course, the aftermath of the scandal.

That, along with the fact that Emily Goodhand literally went away for good afterwards (she has zero online identity, which is hard to imagine possible these days), is seen as concrete proof that the cheating never happened and that the “scandal” was from the get-go a PR stunt to get Tori back on the small screen.

If that’s true, at least she’s trying really hard to keep things interesting. If these are fake tears, she hasn’t cried this much in her entire scripted career so far. Watch the new trailers and judge for yourself.
