14 DAY TRIAL // There has been no reason given as to why Tori Spelling chose to enter the hospital last week, but many press outlets are speculating that it's connected to the crisis that's taking place at the moment in her marriage with Dean McDermott.
E! News has learned that Tori checked herself into the hospital but warned that the reason for this hospitalization hasn't been made public. On Saturday, shortly after three o'clock in the afternoon, Tori was spotted with a hospital pink wrist band on her way home, as her husband worryingly helped her get in the car.
Sources close to the situation revealed that Dean was close to his wife through this entire ordeal and didn't leave her side. “He would arrive by 10am and didn't leave until 8 most nights. He seemed very stressed out and worried,” one source said.
“He would bring food and often only left Tori to go outside to catch some air or make a phone call,” the source added, describing just how thoughtful and caring McDermott turned out to be through his wife's hospital ordeal.
As you may know, Tori's marriage came under serious fire when it was uncovered that Dean had been cheating on her for some time, and she chose to open up about it on her reality show “True Tori,” despite the fact that some seriously embarrassing facts came to light, such as the fact that Tori turned out to be notoriously bad in bed.
On her blog, she wrote that she decided to tell her painful story simply because she wanted to set the record straight, “Throughout my life, the tabloids have told every story you could imagine – and they always got it wrong. I needed the chance to tell my own story. At the moment, I don't know if it will have a happy ending. But I need to get my voice back, and this is my way of doing that.”
Some people would point out that Tori should have seen this coming since both she and McDermott were married to other people when they began their affair. Probably Tori thought that McDermott's love for her was enough to stop him from cheating on her too, but it turns out that it was not.
Instead, she was shocked to find that her husband had been seeing 28-year-old Emily Goodhand. She later told the press, “He cheated on me. One of my worst fears came true. On some level I never thought it would really happen.”
Of course, we can't ignore the voices that claimed Tori and Dean were faking their extramarital affair just to spice up their reality show and make its ratings increase. Until proven guilty, we'll have to take their distress for granted.
