Lifetime has released 2 brand new teasers for season 2 of Tori Spelling’s docuseries / reality show True Tori, and one of them confirms that an unplanned fifth pregnancy will be a major theme. Specifically, it shows Tori breaking the news to her husband Dean McDermott: she feels like she’s pregnant.

Both teasers are available at E! Online. The season premiere is tomorrow, so we have another short while to go until we finally get some answers.

The second video is with Tori and a female friend, who argue over a woman’s share of the blame in a situation in which she sleeps with a married man. Tori is understandably defensive because she was that woman several years ago, when she slept with Dean on their first night together.

Expect more drama from True Tori

The former “Beverly Hills 90210” alum got this Lifetime show after news emerged in the media that Dean had cheated on her while away in Canada on business. Apparently, he had a 2-night affair with a woman called Emily Goodhand, who gave exactly one interview about their tryst and then disappeared from the face of the earth.

Those who believe the scandal was fabricated from scratch, precisely to land Tori this new show, would say that Emily must have returned to the James Bond universe she came from. Because of her last name, and because she’s fictional, get it?

So the docuseries was supposed to show how Tori and Dean were coping with his betrayal, and eventually answer one big question: would she forgive him for this misstep and not break up the family? On the series finale, she did – and everyone assumed that was the end of True Tori.

Lifetime has decided that the show needed a second season, so Tori is upping the dramatic content to keep viewers interested: so, for season 2, we have the promise of a possible reveal of Emily Goodhand, we have a possible unplanned fifth pregnancy, we have a meeting between Tori and Dean’s ex-wife, and we have Tori going back on her word and thinking that maybe she doesn’t want to forgive Dean after all.

In short, we’re to expect even more drama. If you believe conspiracy theorists, all of it will be scripted.

Don’t believe what you see on reality shows

It is a well-known fact that most reality shows are scripted to a lesser or bigger degree. Even those that feel very genuine and spontaneous follow certain guidelines regarding what’s supposed to happen as cameras are rolling.

Whether following guidelines or being shot after a script that also includes dialog, reality shows are nothing but scripted programming with less acting talent. Their popularity is entirely due to the fact that it features celebrities, and in recent months, these celebrities have thrown all sense of shame out the window and didn’t refuse staging a PR storm just to get something to discuss on their new show.

Tori and Dean aren’t the only reality stars to be suspected of faking the cheating scandal just to keep themselves relevant. After all, there’s only so much you can sell the image of a happy family. Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett did the same, with the difference that they actually hired a woman (a transgender model, no less!) to step forward and make the accusations in person on camera. Allegedly.

Mind you, these are D-list celebrities, but A-listers too use cheating scandals to drive interest into their projects. Kim Kardashian does it all the time, and Beyonce and Jay Z did it recently, with the divorce rumors that started right after he got a major beatdown from his sister-in-law in an elevator.

Even Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon could be doing it right now, according to some voices online. Then again, these could be just disappointed fans who can’t believe their marriage didn’t last.
