The latest episode from season 2 of Tori Spelling’s Lifetime docuseries True Tori saw her have a huge meltdown on camera (and a couple of smaller ones) because she was afraid she might not be able to provide for her family anymore, and insisting she didn’t want to downsize to limit expenses.

She cried that they were living paycheck-to-paycheck and said people judged her for putting her family on a reality show, when this was the only option she still had to put food on the table. Tori showed signs of major stress at being the main provider for the family.

According to a new report, she has every reason to worry because she and Dean are flat broke.

Money problems are not news to them, but they were never as serious as they are now

Tori Spelling has outstayed her welcome in scripted programming, and her most recent show, a sitcom with Jennie Garth called “Mystery Girls,” is proof of that, as it was canceled after just one season because of disappointing ratings.

However, she did make a lot of money from her TV career, which also included movies. These days, she prides herself with being a reality star and a businesswoman, an author and blogger, and full-time mother.

The bad news is that, while she and Dean have had financial problems for many years now (mostly because of her expensive shopping habits), they were never as bad as they are now: in fact, a source reveals for E! News, these two are flat broke right now.

They managed to get “through $18 million [€14.2 million] since they've been together,” says the insider. With the docuseries not really making a killing in the ratings, it’s no wonder Tori isn’t in too cheery a disposition about her and her family’s future.

Tori Spelling is living well beyond her means

The same insider tells E! that Tori’s estranged mother, Candy Spelling, has offered to foot some of the bills for her, to help her out with the expenses. For instance, she offered to pay for the kids’ private schools, but Tori always refused her.

The two have always had a tense relationship, and it seems like not even serious money issues will make Tori want to be in Candy’s debt.

On the other hand, she’s not doing anything to cut down expenses either: the aforementioned episode shows that she has 127 vaults of stuff in storage, for which she pays the equivalent of a mortgage, as per her own words.

She also employs 3 nannies full-time to help her with the kids (but they’re not shown on TV) and continues to live the life of a celebrity. Add to that the kids’ private schools, the daily family expenses, and the fact that neither she nor Dean is bringing enough money, and you see her predicament.

Dean McDermott has had it

Tori is now in hospital, where she is being treated for a series of ailments that include pneumonia and stress-induced issues. The other day, with his wife in the hospital, Dean was photographed leaving an adult toys shop with a bag in his hand, indicating he’d made a purchase.

People immediately jumped to the conclusion that, if Tori was in the hospital, he must have been buying the stuff for someone else. Hence, he was cheating on her again.

Many of those who thought this didn’t hesitate to give him a piece of their mind on Twitter, which made him completely lose his cool and swear off social media for good – but not before he swore at those accusing him of infidelity, for which reason we can’t embed or reproduce any of his messages here.
