Video game developer Runic Games and Valve have added Torchlight II to the Steam digital distribution service, allowing all those interested in the game to pre-order it for the price of 18.99 dollars or Euro.

Those who do so will also get a free copy of the original Torchlight, which can be gifted to a player who has not experienced the joys of the action-oriented role-playing game.

The company is also offering a four-copy package for Torchlight II, which costs 56.99 dollars or Euro, although it is not clear whether this offer also includes four copies of the original title.

Runic Games has not yet offered a clear launch date for the game and the current listing only talks about summer 2012.

Torchlight II’s main competitor, Diablo III from Blizzard, is set to launch on May 15 and the development team at Runic Games has already said that they are planning to launch their title within a two month period.
