Mobile phone carrier AT&T announced officially plans to add new color versions of BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone to its offering come November 7th. Exclusively on AT&T, the smartphone would become available on that day in red and white flavors, so as to expand the available options for the wireless carrier's customers.

The new BlackBerry Torch 9800, the first smartphone from Canadian vendor Research In Motion to sport a sliding design, was launched exclusively on AT&T's network back in August.

The first BlackBery device to put together a touchscreen display with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, the Torch 9800 should be available at the wireless carrier in three color versions come November 7th, when the new White and Red flavors are made available for purchase.

“AT&T today announced the exclusive availability of new red and white versions of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone – just in time for the holiday shopping season,” the mobile phone carrier announced in a press release.

“Adding to the appeal of the best BlackBerry ever, AT&T will offer two new red and white color variants for the BlackBerry Torch 9800, both exclusive to AT&T customers and in stores beginning November 7,” the company continues.

However, the specifications list of the new colored Torch models would remain the same as for the already available variant, it seems.

With them, users would receive a high-end smartphone with support for 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, as well as with enhanced multimedia capabilities, and with enough storage space to make any user happy. The handset also sports great messaging features, with support for email, instant messaging, and various social networking sites, such as Facebook, Twitter or MySpace.

On top of that, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 comes with support for various applications available for download via the BlackBerry App World.

According to AT&T, the new flavors of Torch are only some of the new offerings it plans on making available for its customers this holiday season.
