14 DAY TRIAL // One of the finalists from the reality show Top Model had a run-in with law enforcement officers on the morning of January13. Kiara Belen, one of the finalists in the 19 series of Top Model was busted on suspicion of driving under the influence.
TMZ says that from initial reports, the aspiring model was driving erratically on the road. LAPD officers observed this suspicious activity and decided to pull her over. After stopping her, the officers gave her a quick field sobriety test and she didn't fair that well.
Her car was said to be swerving from side to side, indicating that she might have been drinking and driving. Upon her poor performance on the sobriety test, the policemen decided to take her to jail and book her on suspicion of DUI (driving under the influence).
She was bailed out a few hours later by an unnamed person who paid the $5,000 (£3,125) bail.
In a message on the Twitter page, she cryptically referred to the incident by saying “I abide by the Law of Least Resistance. Everything is how it should be.” In a later message she added “Positive livin' No worries Stress free. If your breathin.. Your good. Ayyeeee.”
Apart from being on the 19th cycle of the fashion-inspired reality show “America's Next Top Model,” the Las Vegas-born Kiara has also signed with Slater Model Management in Los Angeles. She also took part in various photo shoots for designers such as Daniel Magana.
She has also been featured in the “Jaywalking All-Stars” segment on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Most notably, she did a spread for SheWolf Magazine and modeled for the 2013 L.A. Fashion Week. The 5ft 9 model is currently signed to ENVY Model Management.
On the “Top Model” show, she was one of Tyra's favorite models but got into a nasty argument with the presenter and ended up taking the second place.
