The famous movie Top Gun will finally make its way to the world of video games with the help of Doublesix, a subsidiary studio of Kuju Entertainment. The title is going to be published by Paramount Digital Entertainment this summer for the PlayStation 3, PC and Mac. The original writer of the movie, Jack Epps, Jr., will lend his talented hand to the developers to recreate and expand the original story.

A single-player campaign and quite a few multiplayer modes are planned for the enjoyment of Top Gun fans. Gamers will have the occasion to step into Maverick's shoes and fight in spectacular dog fights following the events of the movie in solo play. On the other hand, online play will let 16 players go head to head in Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Top Gun, Bombing Run and Capture the Flag matches.

Doublesix was formed from the studio that created the successful Geometry Wars Galaxies for the Nintendo DS and the Nintendo Wii. In this new arrangement, the developers have worked on two games, Burn Zombie Burn for the PlayStation Network, and South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play! for the Xbox Live Arcade. The PSN exclusive lets gamers control Bruce, the downloadable title's main character, and continuously slay as many zombies as they can until they lose.

The XBLA exclusive has a self-explanatory title. Using Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman or any other of their favorite characters from the hit TV show, Xbox owners will have to defend South Park. The game combines action and tower-defense strategy, and those who play it will have to use their tactical skills while getting into some snow-ball throwing action. Co-op play is available for up to four people on Xbox Live both for the story campaign and challenge levels that come with the purchase.
