14 DAY TRIAL // The Steam for Linux platform is getting more games every week and players now have a very wide array of titles to choose from. We'll take a look at the best-selling titles that are now available on Steam for Linux.
Before getting on with this top we need to mention the fact that, even if this is a top five, we are going to start with the game on the sixth place. This is due to the fact that the third and the first places are occupied by the same game and it all has to do with the way it's being bundled on Steam.
Garry's Mod, a physics sandbox based on the Source engine used in Half-Life 2, which allows the users to make any scenarios they could possibly imagine, is now on the fifth place. It would have been placed higher, but most of the games above it in the list have some hefty discounts.
The fourth place is occupied by Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine, a single-player or co-op heist title developed and published by Pocketwatch Games. It's been quite a while since Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine was on the best-selling list, but it's being helped by a 75% discount.
Kerbal Space Program is on third place. This is a multi-genre game in which the players have to create their own space project and make a successful launch without killing the astronauts. It's being sold with a 40% discount, but this is still a game in development, so it's all the more impressive.
The second place in out short best-selling top is occupied by Rust, an FPS sandbox game developed and published on Steam for Linux by Facepunch Studios, which has no objective besides survival. People are left to their own devices and that is usually a bad thing. It's interesting to observe that this game was on the first place only a week ago.
The first place is occupied by Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Gold Bundle, which is actually the original Euro Truck Simulator 2 and the biggest DLC for the game. As you can deduce from the name of the game, players will have to drive a big truck with merchandise across Europe, while trying to make a good time. Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Gold Bundle is being sold with a huge 80% discount, and the smaller DLCs for the base game can also be purchased at smaller prices.
